As we prepare for the upcoming season, preseason training is currently underway in the lead-up to our trials. These sessions are held every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 3:10 PM to 4:30 PM and focus on footwork drills, specialised netball skills, agility, and speed work. We encourage all students to attend and be dressed in their PE gear with sports shoes.
We also welcome all keen netball players to:
Netball Trials – Saturday, 8th March
Location: The Cloud, Auckland Girls’ Grammar School, 16 Howe Street, Freemans Bay.
- Junior Trials (Years 9 & 10): 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Senior Trials (Years 11 – 13): 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
All netball games are played on Saturdays at the Auckland Netball Courts, with game times scheduled between 8:00 AM and 1:30 PM.
Commitment Requirement:
All successful netball players must be available to attend at least one after-school training session per week, (Premier are expected to attend two per week) as well as Saturday games. To continue participating in the sport, players must maintain an attendance rate of at least 80% for both training and games.

Netball Umpiring Clinic
Participating in four weekly sessions held at recess time on the following dates:
- Wednesday 12th March 2025 – POSTPONED due to Call Backs
- Friday 14th March 2025
- Wednesday 19th March 2025
- Friday 21st March 2025
Post umpiring clinic sessions you’ll be able to gain your Umpires Award which is endorsed by Netball NZ. You’ll need to bring your last device to our last session to complete the online Netball Test. *Cost is FREE
